The LeBoeuf Pen Company proudly honors the legendary author L.Frank Baum, on this, the 140th Anniversary of his iconic novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz in 1900.
L. Frank Baum (Lyman Frank Baum) was an American author, best known for writing The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. He was born on May 15, 1856, in Chittenango, New York. Baum's career began in theater, where he wrote and produced plays, many of which were for children. His first book, Mother Goose in Prose, was published in 1897, but his Oz series brought him lasting fame. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was published in 1900, and it quickly became a hit, partly due to its imaginative world and its departure from the fairy-tale conventions of the time.
Baum wrote 13 Oz books, starting with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and continuing with titles like The Marvelous Land of Oz and The Emerald City of Oz. His Oz stories are known for their unique characters, such as Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and the Cowardly Lion, and their themes of adventure, personal growth, and the pursuit of happiness.
In addition to the Oz books, Baum wrote a wide range of other works, including novels, short stories, and poems, many of which were fantasy-themed. He also became a successful businessman and screenwriter, though his ventures were not always financially successful.
Baum's legacy extends beyond his writing. His creation of Oz has inspired numerous adaptations, including the famous 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, which starred Judy Garland. Baum passed away on May 6, 1919, but his works continue to be beloved by readers of all ages.

This unique acrylic was specially designed to create the visual effect of the famed Yellow Brick Road and Dorothy’s ruby Red slippers, made famous in the movie adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s Classic novel. Each pen barrel has been carefully polished and engraved with the signature of L. Frank Baum. The pen cap features Yellow bricks have been added to the cap band enhancing the elegance of this stunning writing instrument. A gold commemorative coin featuring a portrait of L. Frank Baum has been fitted on to the top of each cap.
Each L. Frank Baum Limited Edition Pen features a German gold-plated nib featuring the LeBoeuf logo. Available in both Fine and Medium Points and utilizes a cartridge/Convertor filling system. A Roller Ball version is also available which uses a Standard International Roller Ball refill. Each pen model is limited to 150 pens Worldwide.
