The LeBoeuf Pen Company proudly honors Mark Twain, the father of American Literature, and the 140th Anniversary of his classic novel, Huckleberry Finn, with this stunning Limited Edition Fountain Pen and Roller Ball.

Mark Twain (1835–1910) is considered  America's most famous writer, humorist, and lecturer, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest figures in American literature. He was born Samuel Langhorne Clemens on November 30, 1835, in Hannibal, Missouri, a town along the Mississippi River that later inspired the settings of his most famous works.

Before becoming a writer, Twain worked as a printer, a steamboat pilot, and a journalist. His breakthrough came with the humorous short story The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County (1865). He later gained worldwide fame with his novels The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) and his most famous work, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1885), which are both celebrated for their vivid depictions of American life, satire, and social criticism, particularly regarding race and inequality.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn celebrates its 140th anniversary this year.  In this novel, Huck is a rebellious and independent boy who escapes from his abusive father and embarks on a journey down the Mississippi River with Jim, a runaway enslaved man. Through their adventures, Twain explores themes of freedom, morality, and racial injustice in pre-Civil War America.  The Novel is considered by many as Twain’s best work and one of America’s greatest works of literature.

Mark Twain passed away on April 21, 1910. His legacy as "the father of American literature" endures to this day/
